See What’s In God’s Heart And Receive!

“So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.”.
-Ephesians 1:6-7 (NLT)

Have you ever noticed the bible never says God is rich in wrath? Or that He’s rich in judgement? Yes, we know we see these attributes of God in the bible, but to know Gods wealth is to know His heart. Because the bible says “where your treasure is, so will your heart be (Matthew 6:21). While judgement and wrath may be seen in Gods HAND, kindness and grace is in His HEART. Put your faith in His beloved Son Jesus, today, and receive all that is in the heart of the Father!

Stop Telling God What He Already Knows!

“…your Father knows what things you have need of before you ask Him. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:8,11)

Have you been praying, asking and trying to be “good enough” for some things that don’t seem to be materializing? Well, there’s a much easier way! A way, in fact, where the things you’ve been asking for and trying to earn are simply ADDED to you!

Instead of asking for what God already knows we have need of, we are told to seek after TWO things: God’s kingdom and God’s righteousness. The kingdom is how God grants us His SUPPLY and His rightousness is how He grants us His STANDING. And they are both provided by grace through faith as we seek Him. Let me explain.

The bible says that God supplies our need according to HIS RICHES in glory (notice, it’s not according to OUR needs but HIS riches!). This means that as we seek His kingdom, God draws from the inventory of His riches in glory to supernaturally ADD more than we can ask or think!

Secondly, His righteousness is just that. It is the righteousness of Christ that we have received as a gift according to God’s abundant love and grace (2 Corinthians 5: 21, Romans 5:17). In other words it’s not about our ablity to be “good enough” deserve the blessing. If Christ qualifies for it, then we qualify! If this all sounds too good to be true…IT’S GRACE!

Today, seek FIRST God’s kingdom and His righteousness and watch how things just start adding up in your life!

Too blessed to be stressed,

Stop Working On Your Weakness!

“…My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” -2 Cor 12:9

Stop working on your weakness! Many times we let our areas of weakness dominate us, consuming our time and energy. Only to find ourselves failing to our weaknesses, while our strengths are neglected. Grace does not simply overlook our weaknesses, but is God’s POWER made PERFECT in the areas we need Him most. Today, focus on what comes easy to you and let God’s grace be sufficient where you are deficient!

In Christ (and not coming out!),

Hidden In God, Not From God

“For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God”.  -Colossians 3:3

When Adam and Eve first sinned, their natural inclination was to hide from God. The first question God ever posed to man was recorded in Genesis 3:9 when He asked Adam, “where are YOU?”. This is because sin places the focus US, making us more conscious of what we DO instead of what God HAS DONE. This is the reason that Adam and Eve felt the need to cover THEMSELVES with fig leaves once they failed to obey God’s instructions. This began a life of shame and self effort in an attempt to hide from God and cover our own failures.

But the first question of the New Testament was when the wise shepards were looking for Jesus and asked, “Where is HE, that is born king of the Jews?…” (Matthew 2:2). Jesus came to place the focus back where it should be…on God!

When man attempted to cover himself with fig leaves, God replaced the covering with lamb skin, because without the sheddding of blood, there is no remission for sin (Hebrews 9:22). Today, our life is hid and our sins are covered with the skin of the perfect lamb of God, Jesus Christ. Upon seeing Jesus from afar, John the Baptist declared, “behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world!” (John 1:29).

Today, fall in love with Jesus and fall out of love with sin!

Hidden with Christ,

-Pastor Anthony J McRae
